Meanwhile the band were getting more notable support slots with artists such as Switches, The Young Knives and The Enemy as well as doing their own headline tour. Parka's second single If You Wanna was released in April 2007, reaching #11 on the indie chart and being playlisted on both Mtv2 and Xfm. Shortly after this, saxaphonist Bob departed the band to be replaced by James Craise. Parka then went from strength to strength touring with Boy Kill Boy, opening for The Automatic and signing to indie label Jeepster. This took many by surprise winning Fresh Meat on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show and getting playlisted on Xfm. ![]() In September 2006 they released their debut single Disco Dancer, complete with balloon video, through the 7" label Worst Case Scenario. They formed in Feb 2005 when singer/guitarist Matty Thompson grew tired of his studies and decided to make a band, by finding drummer, Neil Johnson, bassist Ian Alexander, keyboardist Mark Hedges and saxaphonist Bob.
